These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HAL, a product of Hal-PA Inc ("HAL", "we", "our"), including the HAL apps and gethal.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be 18 years of age or older to use HAL. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
HAL routes your conversations to AI models from several providers and, when you choose to escalate, to human specialists ("Hals"). Hals are independent individuals, not HAL employees or agents — HAL does not control or guarantee the accuracy of their advice. See our Privacy Policy for details on which AI providers process your messages and what data is shared with them.

You retain ownership of the content you send to HAL. You grant HAL a limited license to process, store, and display that content back to you as needed to operate the Service (route it to an AI provider or a Hal, keep your conversation history, etc.), as described in our Privacy Policy.
Responses generated by AI models may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on HAL for medical, legal, financial, or other decisions requiring a licensed professional without independent verification.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (payments already due, limitation of liability, disclaimers) will survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated or Hal-provided responses will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hal-PA Inc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be at gethal.com/terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
